A group of dedicated volunteers from Ardfert/Kilmoyley Senior Citizens Committee offer this amazing service to the community.
Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens Committee offer a day care service every Tuesday from 10am-2pm.
New Senior Citizens are always welcome to join. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding the Senior Citizens service. Those who attend can enjoy a nutritious meal prepared on site by a qualified chef. We also provide the option of taking home a meal for the following day.
Participants can engage in a programme of stimulating activities. Hairdressing and chiropody services are available at the Centre. Our senior citizens can look forward to planned social outings with their peers.

Transport provided
Transport is provided to and from the Centre by Kerry Flyers Company.

Enjoyment
You may enjoy a cup of tea and a scone, a chat or just relax after chatting to friends.

Card games, bingo, raffles, live music, singing, dancing and gentle exercises.

Friendship
Loneliness is difficult. We care for our senior citizens to offer them the chance to interact with friends.

They can also avail of our laundry service including pre-arranged collection and drop off if required. Most importantly this service offers an opportunity for social interaction and mental and physical stimulation.
For the older people in our community and beyond their visit to the Centre each week can be a lifeline, something to look forward to.
Social interaction is recognised as crucial to the well-being and health of the elderly. Our laundry, DIY service, hairdresser and chiropodist help in a practical way to make life a little easier and less stressful.
This service is supported by funding from the HSE.
